Simon & Julie would love to welcome you to our little corner of paradise!
Open all year, part of an ancient barn, our gîte is traditionally rustic, yet furnished and equipped with all you need for your self-catering holiday. Exposed beams, tiled floor throughout, wood burning stove and restful outdoor areas make La Germondière an ideal location for your holiday.
We are pet-friendly too.... so you don't have to leave your faithful friend behind. We are mostly a child-free environment too, children by exception.
There are plenty of tourist attractions within driving distance and what better an environment to return home to than our beautiful land and lakes.
Coarse and specimen, spring fed fishing lakes of 0.75 and 1.75 acres, stocked with carp (mirror, common, koi and grass), tench and roach, surrounded by mature shrubs and trees.
A rural country setting rich in wildlife, providing you with a perfect environment for practicing mindfulness, yoga, bird-watching, photography, painting, or simply relaxing and soaking up the wonders of nature. A place which is simply 'good for the soul'; allow yourself to be nurtured by nature.
Just sit back and watch and listen to the huge variety of birds and wildfowl visiting our lakes - watch the swallows dipping into the water, and see if you can spot the Kingfisher feeding on our smallest fish.
