A 1 bedroom gîte with a mezzanine lounge, south facing enclosed patio and garden, overlooking the nearby apple orchards and with a good view of our smaller lake.  Graded two star by the tourism board.

Apples have been the main economy for Secondigny for centuries, and the town still depends on the industry for a good portion of its livelihood.  The orchards are exceptionally pretty, and it is a joy to watch the colours of the fruits and blossoms change during the seasons.

The gîte has a superbly equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area with a mezzanine level area (with a sofa-bed), a spacious double bedroom, walk in shower room and separate wc.  The gîte accommodates 2 people.

The gîte has a gas & electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer and even a hairdryer is provided.  Patio furniture, parasol, sunbeds and a BBQ.  Electric radiators in most rooms, wood-burner for those cooler evenings, a table top fan for the hot summers.  UK TV and free wifi are also provided.  

We also supply a picnic blanket, we hope you will use it by our lakes.  What could be better than going for a picnic without having to get in the car?

Gîte de la Prairie is not suitable for people who have difficulty walking or with steps.  There are two steps into the front door, plus 2 steps out onto the patio.  Inside, the steps to the mezzanine level are steep, and not easily accessible for those with walking difficulties.
